"dong of the damned" warps rising scales played on the piano, flicking them this way and that, before it veers into muffled death metal (mp3). "all over the landscape" maintains its slow, steady pace, a leisurely one that brings to mind early peter gordon (circa innocent), with what appears to be william burroughs (or someone doing a pretty good burroughs impression) intoning on top (mp3). "wanting falling" mixes vocal and keyboard samples for an extended piece that gets more percussive as it goes along; the spoken bit, though, maintains an eerie consistency (mp3). [ october 11, 2006 bookmark ]downstream gothic mp3s: there's a repeating click in "taucher, &quo t; the first of the three tracks that comprise pawel grabowski's kissing evil ghosts goodbye. it's a lynchian touch, suggesting the seam in a tape splice, or a skipped record, perhaps a noir - ish footstep. it is all of these things and none, a rare plosive moment in an otherwise spooky, but entirely disembodied, piece of music (mp3). there's no way it's a mistake, that click, and it is to grabowski's credit that such a seeming error can be taken unhesitatingly as a compositional motive. medi ambient - environnement detecten 5.000 pous il·legals. j. m. mallarach alerta que aquestes captacions d'aigua perjudiquen els recursos hídrics. un total de 5.000 pous de l'alt empordà, d'on s'extreu aigua per regar hortes i camps de conreu, són il·legals, segons va explicar el consultor ambiental josep maria mallarach, en el transcurs de la conferència que va oferir fa uns dies a la seu del consell comarcal. la gran quantitat de pous agrícoles i il·legals que hi ha a la comarca suposen un perill per als recursos hídrics, tot i que no es tenen dades del nivell de captació d'aigua ni de quines són les zones o terrenys on hi ha la presència d'aquests pous. el consultor ambiental josep maria mallarach, que ha elaborat un estudi sobre la connectivitat ecològica del parc natural dels aiguamolls de l'empordà, ha puntualitzat que "segons el departament de medi ambient, en total són 5.000 les captacions d'aigua del subsòl que s'extreu de forma il·legal. crec que això suposa uns efectes negatius, ja que a més d'assecar els recursos hídrics, pot permetre l'entrada d'aigua salada". d'altres experts ambientals confirmen que la presència de tantes captacions il·legals, tant si són per a ús agrícola com industrial, poden acabar derivant a vessaments residuals incontrolats. des de l'agència catalana de l'aigua, per altra part, es té coneixement que a l'alt empordà existeixen 3.748 captacions d'aigua legals per a ús agrícola i industrial.
